Daily Prime – Unused Optimus Prime Concept Designs from Transformers Prime

With the passing of Roberto Orci, it is hard not to think about what a great show Transformers Prime was. What was supposed to be a continuation of the High Moon Game storyline, managed to find a footing with a solid story line, iconic characters, and complex themes. What was not know until recently, was the show began under the name “Robots In Disguise” with a completely different look and format than the production that debuted on the The Hub on November 26th, 2010. Most surprising of all is the design of Optimus Prime, that we can seen a few variations of in the slides from the original Transformers: Prime Original Pitch Slides. Complied from elements of the Bayverse design, the Autobot leaders new look is more streamlined with a more G1 look, that presents both the long nose and COE design.
