We are saddened to report that G1 comic artist Don Perlin has passed away on May 14th at 94, as confirmed by CBR.com and Mr. Perlin’s daughter on Facebook. Mr. Perlin was the penciler on 19 issues of the original Marvel Transformers comic and the mini-series adaptation of The Transformers: The Movie, making him the second-most prolific artist on the series after José Delbo. Outside Transformers he was recognized as co-creator of Moon Knight and drew The Defenders for many years before being one of the major artistic forces at Valiant Comics where he would co-create Bloodshot.
