Daily Prime – MPG-17 Optimus Prime "Style Gen" New Transformers MPG Officially Revealed

Following the teaser report, we have the first color look at the new Transformers MPG MPG-17 Optimus Prime “Style Gen” action figure. What is being promoted as the next generation “highest-end” release. Presumably, referring to the articulation and features that we expect from the MasterPiece / MPG class. That aside, this very G1 looking figure has a somewhat simplified look, most of all in the truck mode. Hard to deny, the MPG-17 Optimus Prime gives off an MP-10 vibe, especially in the robot mode. The metallic colors of this initial release are not suggestive of an Anime / Manga design that I hoped would be a Studio Ox homage. Knowing Takara, they have plans for many editions with trailers and or new colors to follow. We will lean more on Friday, April 4, 2025 when the preorders go live, if not sooner.
