As reported by GameRant, rumors are in the air about “Transformers: Rise”, the reported title of an upcoming console-based Transformers MMO. Supposed leaks are coming from a content creator who claims to have knowledge about the game, which has supposedly gone through at least two developers since development began in 2011.

Content creator RoboGamer1HD on YouTube recently posted info on the game on his YouTube channel (all to be taken with a grain of salt, per RoboGamer himself), claiming the game is completed for publication under Hasbro and set to have marketing materials released soon, perhaps to build buzz for 2023’s “Transformers: Rise of the Beasts”. (RoboGamer1HD notes that the game is not a tie-in, but that Hasbro is looking at Amiibo-like interaction with future toys.) The game’s story supposedly revolves around Unicron, who was almost the primary villain and a huge raid boss if not for balancing issues caused by the enormity of the character. RoboGamer1HD also describes leaked cutscenes, one featuring Ratchet and Shockwave, and another featuring Optimus Prime and Starscream.

In an update, Robogamer1HD claims that these leaks are “100% confirmed”:

The current developer handling the console MMO is Certain Affinity, an indie developer started by ex-Bungie employees in 2006. CA has released original games like “Age of Booty” (2008) and “Crimson Alliance” (2011), as well as participated in multiplayer dev for games in the “Call of Duty” and “Halo” series.

“Transformers Rise” has supposedly been in development under the Austin, TX-based developer since 2017.
