Has anyone had any experience trying to add a UV protection layer on glass cases (e.g. Detolfs) to protect the figures from UV damage?
I researched and tried both clear sprays and window films and am leaning towards window films because it does not distort the view through the glass. The difficulty is finding a reputable seller of these films.
I ran into cases on Amazon where films were falsely advertised as providing UV protection. Reputable manufacturers of these films (e.g. 3M) do not sell to DIY’ers.
I did find a Toronto seller who has been in business for a number of years selling these films at a reasonable price (about $120 to coat 2 Detolfs). Just wanted to see if anyone else has any experience with this.
