These fast food premiums are more than meets the eye, they’re… spoons…? …in disguise!
According to the Sonic Wacky Pack website, once everyone has done their back-to-school supply shopping by eating copious amounts of fast food (like you do), visitors to the drive-in restaurant will be able to transform their worlds! Or their eating experience, at least. I mean, if food is your world, then there you go.
Anyway.
The way these five figures (based on Twitch’s drone alt-mode, Bumblebee, Optimus Prime, Megatron, Elita-1, respectively) “transform” is by removing their heads to reveal… a spoon! Does… does anything served in a Wacky Pack even use a spoon? *checks* Oh! I guess the applesauce counts. It comes in a bottle, though, so this seems more likely to transform the floor mats and seats in your parents’ car into a sticky mess, but I’m no marketing expert. I’m sure their research bears out.
If nothing else, at least you can nerd out and show your true Transformers fan colors in public by shouting “HEAD ON!” at the top of your lungs as you’re putting it away.
Now, Sonic’s website (linked above) says that they’re “coming soon,” but that might be sooner than you think, as some locations already seem to be giving them out. Tformers got their hands on an Elita-1 already, and you can see how that looks from the in-hand pics they posted over thisaway.
So, eager to get your hands on these? Think McDonald’s or someone would have done something better?
