No, it’s not quite the return of Transformers: Sports Label, but it’s pretty cool nonetheless! Transformers crosses over to make some cool new skids slorps kicks one more time with these new Adidas x Transformers releases.
GeekCulture and MSN.com report that Adidas has new dedicated colorways inspired by Optimus Prime and Megatron for the X9000L4. Optimus’ colorway comes with some nice angular paneling and movie-inspired flames, while Megatron’s has some striking black, red and dark gray rounding out the color scheme.
On top of all that, both versions come with LED lights that can be inserted in the shoe tongue or removed to charge! Even the insoles get some Op/Megs design love.
Per Geek Culture and MSN.com, these designs are so far only available in China — but here’s hoping that changes in the near futrue!
Pretty neat how these take a real “inspired by approach” while still looking great entirely on their own. They’re the perfect things to wear when driving in for a layoff layup!
