Today we have a seemingly simple reveal that is a bit more than meets the eye. It’s a Transformers branded NERF gun based on an Elite 2.0 Warden. Despite the impression a quick glance at the gritty art may give, it is surprisingly not Rise of the Beasts themed, as it is plastered with the image of what is definitely not the final move design, and it is sold in what looks like Authentics packaging. So what is this? It’s no doubt meant to ride the hype around Rise of the Beasts, yet doesn’t feature Rise of the Beasts branding. Are we about to see a wider, more generalized marketing push around the Maximals? Are they finally joining the ranks of certain G1 characters as being general brand mascots?
